clamshell battery

Hi! my clamshell battery is already dead. is there a possibility it can still be revived? or, is there a source locally from which i can buy a spare battery? thanks!

Unfortunately , your dead battery is as good as a paper weight. Local resellers still sell the battery I think, but its more expensive, around 8k I believe.

Buying online is cheaper, like eBay.

best to buy from a reputable dealer, even online; some time ago there was a bad batch of clamshell batteries that went on ebay--the batteries were legit and were new (or new old stock), but were DOA. i don't know if apple still makes them, but i'd just as soon go for an aftermarket one if i think it's fresher.

You might try to bring it to a cellphone shop that repairs cellphone batteries by replacing invidvidual cells. They MIGHT be able to do something.
