Dave,
Get a 17" na lang, and when they see it . close the lid and tell them it's a Lunch tray from the cafeteria or something.

Hay naku bossing... I already tried a 17" and to be brutally honest, I never saw any that lasted without the lid warping in one form or another after 6 months of use. It's just that it (the lid) is too thin. If one wants a warp-free 17" LCD, you have to gingerly open it and support it all across to ensure it stays flat.
How's your 15", is the left corner still have the same gap with right one if you close it?

I'll double check it when I get to work. I've had this 15" PBook since July. And I haven't noticed any warping/gap issues.
Most of the time these days, it stays at home hooked up to a 20" Apple Cinema Display while I'm playing World of Warcraft or editing photos. And it is also usually closed, in clamshell mode, I don't use the dual display capabilities as much now.
I've been on the lookout for a nice DVI/USB KVM switch to share the display with my Mac Mini. Even though its running as a file/test machine only. The Belkin DVI/USB switch is horrible to say the least, and that got returned to Fry's pretty quickly.
My sister, on the other hand, uses a 12" Powerbook, and she's pretty happy with it. She hasn't had any problems with it, unlike the plethora of problems she had with her older Intel-based laptop.
