    Default Bag for 17\" PowerBook

Hi, I'm currently looking for a new bag for my 17" PowerBook. I do not want something as small as a sleeve but not something too big either. I plan to put my PowerBook, A/C adapter, a few cables, a mouse, and an occasional iPod. I also do not want it to be so obviously a laptop bag. Something like the Crumpler Wack-O-Phone would be perfect but I do not think the 17" PB would fit. I'm also considering the McBain's LoveChild XL although I heard it would be a tight fit.

I plan to drop buy Digital Walker tommorow but in the mean time, can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

i can sympathize with you completely. it's been pretty difficult for me to find the right bag for my 17". (it was so much easier when i owned a 12 incher)

i currently have three bags. for the everyday stuff i lug around the agency, i use a crumpler very busy man. medyo tight fit for the PB still, and i have to warn you---it's a HUGE bag, para kang nakamaleta. but it fits the other essentials like the power cords, all the cables, my ipod, documents, back up discs, and occassionaly, i even put my external HDD in it. pero super BIGAT!

i also have an STM messenger bag (forgot what it's called exactly). i use that for quick presentations etc. it fits the PB comfortably, the power adapter and even my ipod and a spare PB battery.

lastly, for travel, i use a samsonite sahora backpack. ito super dami pwede lagay, i even pack clothes in it for overnight trips and shoots.

and you're on the right track, digital walker is the place to go. i got the crumpler and stm bags there, with a 10% to boot! (thanks again charlie!)

    so there, happy shopping!

Found a Case Logic bag for my 17" when I went to Digital Walker. Charlie said, though, that he's working on bringing in the Axio bags so that's something to look forward to.

I'm using a Crumpler Team Player (XL) for my 17". Fits almost all accessories I need to bring around (including my bluetooth apple keyboard). Still trying to look for a more compact bag though.

The thing is CaseLogic bags look too much like a laptop bag so it's really obvious to people that you're carrying a laptop. The STM bag (I assume it's the brink) looks ok though. I'll check the bags out tommorow.

    I use a Timbuk2 Messenger Bag not sure if it's L or XL .
I also have a Bree knapsack which has a removable sleeve which is well padded. I use the padded sleeve of the Bree bag inside the Timbuk2 when I use it.

I ride my Vespa to work everyday and I bring my Lapzilla with me everyday too so I need the protection from the bumps that the sleeve gives and the protection from the rain that the Timbuk2 Messenger gives.

One thing is certain though, those things are heavy......whew.

i have theCrumpler Birans Hot TUb that i bought at @games.

    It can fit:
    17" pbook
    AC adaptor
    2.5 external HD
    Firewire reader/mini mouse
    2 DSLR bodies
    5 lenses/Flash/Cables/Chargers/Batteries/Meter

So you can imagine how heavy this bag can be...

It perfecty fits local domestic flights as handcarry and selected international airlines.

The Bag is exactly 9x14x22 w/o laptop for international standard for handcarry

But just to be sure i always bring a seperate oakley laptop bag if i travel out of the country.
