iPhone contacts not syncing with Address Book on iTunes 10.5.2

Hi,

I just noticed this anomaly lately. I have been syncing my iPhone contacts with my Address Book ever since and I never had any problems with any sync. Lately, I've noticed that some of the new contacts I entered in my iPhone were not transferred to my Address Book during sync. I also checked that it's also not working the other way around. If I add anything on my Address Book, it's not transferring to my iPhone. This really puzzled me and I can't find any solution to this. Is this a bug in iTunes 10.5.2? Anybody else encountering this same problem? I haven't upgrade my iPhone to iOS 5 and it is still on 4.3.3.

You might have missed it but are you sure the Sync Address Book Contacts option is ticked?

Did you check the option in itunes to sync contacts?

I was having the same issue few days back, then I read somewhere that iTunes won't back up contacts anymore. It has something to do with iCloud.

I am not really sure. I'll try to find that and update this post.


Can someone try to back up their contacts?

I've read something like that but wasn't sure if this is true or how this works since I haven't updated my iPhone to iOS 5. I'm sure that I've ticked the necessary buttons for the sync.

Hi again.

Thanks for the link. I turned off the iCloud on my Mac. And once i've sync again, everything works the way it was before iCloud. I had a feeling it has something to do with iCloud rather than iTunes. Until I understand more about iCloud, I don't think I want to turn it on again. I'm happy with everything the way it was before iCloud.
