I still like honey dip donut when it goes with my black coffee, so you can enjoy the taste for both coffee and the 'dough'nut

It's OK...just OK--nothing special. I ordered the one with fruits as toppings and I noticed that they place less fruit than the other yoghurt places.

Their cardboard froyo container is also deceptive. It looks like a deep dish container with a lot of yogurt, but it's actually pretty shallow so there isn't as much yogurt as you'd think.

I agree with one of the observations of Ninong (Godfather): the bread texture is pretty bad. It's like Cello's, in a lot of ways. Dinadaan sa variety of the flavors and toppings, but the bread is just off.

Krispy Kreme for me, still. Their donut texture is so perfectly soft.
Doesn't the texture of the bread make up a significant factor for judging the taste and quality of a donut? If J.Co's isn't really that good, then how can it be better than others?

Maybe I should try it myself to find out.

I can charge it to experience, but my tummy will take care of the compounding interest. : (

    Default J.CO Donuts and Coffee

^Exactly. Please re-read my post. I said that as a matter of personal opinion, I don't like JCo's donut bread texture. It's a big part of the donut experience, which is why I'm disappoited with JCo. KK is still my favorite, followed by Dunkin Donuts (not the cheap version ones), then Mister Donut. Gonuts used to be good, but i havent tried them in years. JCo and Cello's follow after that, and the rear would be made up of Country Style.

Again, the donut texture makes up much of the experience, so an abundance of flavor varieties or creative/new donut flavors just wont cut it for me.

^Exactly what you said! That's why I quoted you.

I think I should have quoted @Godfather who said he prefers J.Co over KK.

But then, to each his own, no breaking of trips, and everybody happy.

*Pardon if I sound weird. Must be withdrawal symptoms due to avoidance of any kind of donuts whatsoever.

Oh. I get it. Haha. Sorry about that, mate. But yeah, different strokes for different folks. I know some people who love Manang's and dislike Bon Chon, while I prefer the latter. It's fine with me, I know people have differing taste preferences.

^It's not that different from relationships. Some like theirs with great topping, even if the rest isn't as yummy, whereas others like it hot, even if the topping isn't heart-stopping.

    Regardless, I'll eat 'em all.

It's *only* a 150 calories. A good relationship can burn more.

Their donut bread here is nothing to write home about. It's average as average can be.

Cello's donut bread on the other hand, is to die for... they're ridiculously soft, BUT only when you eat them at the store or the same day you buy them. If you store them in your fridge, it's going to be hard as heck the next morning. Their bread crystalizes faster compared to other donuts.

Krispy Kreme is your best bet if you want to buy a dozen donuts and just store them in the fridge and it'll stay good for, at the most, up to a week.
The probability of anything happening is directly proportional to its desirability.
