    Idea Fine Dining Restaurant

Hi! I'm currently looking for a restaurant that not only serves good food but has a "fine dining" experience in a sense that when you eat in that place, you have to suit up and dress accordingly.

My cousin is celebrating her 18th birthday and she can't exactly afford a BIG debut. However, she wants all her friends to come for dinner wearing cocktail dresses (girls) and suits (guys). Can you suggest a place that would be fit of such occasion?

    Additional Info

    • A group of 5-10 people for dinner.
    • Max of 1,500 per person for meal

    TIA!

Good luck trying to find a place like that at P1,500 per head. Double that and I can throw in a few suggestions.

....if it's gourmet food that you're after, P1,500/ pax (which I assume is tax and gratuities inclusive) is not enough. Near that price range, I think the answers are fairly obvious: 5-star hotels. Some have small function rooms like Heat or Circles. Classy....you won't feel out of place....and very near your budget.

Other suggestions: Cafe Juanita in Pasig (new location across old one). Mezzanine area - function room. For a little bit more, Lolo Dad's at 6750 Ayala. Mezzanine area.

im going to suggest the champagne room at the manila hotel. beautiful french ambiance. quite formal too. they even provide a suit jacket for those who came in shirts haha

i think 1.5k is manageable. 200-300 for starters, 200-300 for soup, 600-800 for an entree, 200-300 for desert.

no wine or champagne with that though.

they also have a chefs menu. more or less than 2k i believe. but this was back in 2004-2005. i dont know now.

My suggestion is --- pick a few restaurants. Talk to the owner and manager. Give your budget. And hopefully they can work with it.

    Good luck with your hunt.

With that sort of budget, my suggestion would be to simply reserve a function room at Abe or Sentro in Serendra. Or if you're in the QC area, Mario's or Annabell's in Morato.
