Question for artists (wacom tablet)
Hi,
My gf is a fashion/bridal designer. I was wondering if she would find the a Wacom tablet useful for her craft. No more paper and pencils for her. She can easily organize and digitize her work on her mac.
She knows how to use Photoshop and Illustrator. What software would she need to be able to sketch and color with ease? What model of the tablet would best suit her needs?

I would recommend SketchBook Pro.

Tell her to download the trial for Corel's Painter 11.

I'm sure she'd appreciate an Intuos 4 (Medium). Photoshop-Illustrator is already an excellent combination.

Would an Intuos 4 + Sketpad Pro be a good combination for what she needs? I am clearly not a graphics art person

I believe Sketchbook Pro is only for iPad/iPhone?
Intous with Illustrator and she'll be okay.

SketchBook Pro has a version for the Mac as well as the iPad and iPhone.

Not to hijack this tread or anything, but Eric, I've been trying to look for tutorials, books and videos of Painter 11. This is a totally awesome software, and I'd like to learn more. Are there resources that you can recommend? I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

@DJ a quick Google will give you a few online tutorials, but these are just the basic stuff to help you get started. What you need is a book such as the excellent Digital Painting Fundamentals with Corel Painter X by Safari Books. HTH.
