which macbook pro to buy?

hi guys , i know there are a lot of artists here, need some help choosing which mbp to buy:

I mainly design logos, interfaces, icons, and I'm starting to make wordpress themes by next year , so screen resolution should be bigger than 1024 x 768. What can u guys recommend ?



13-inch: 2.26GHz
13-inch: 2.53GHz


15-inch: 2.53GHz
15-inch: 2.66GHz

I like the 15inch 2.66 ghz because of the dedicated gfx card, but its somewhat pricey or is the 2.53ghz good enough ? I'm basing my prices on the offical apple ph website , or maybe stores here in manila offer cheaper prices ? I'll be staying for another 4 days here before I go back to my hometown.

i use the 15" 2.53ghz and it works fine for me and its middle priced thats the deal maker

i'd go for a 15" 2.66GHz. dedicated graphics processing is a big help.

All the models you mentioned above have screen resolution bigger then 1024 x 768.

Take note that Apple's notebook are due for a update anytime now. Unless you REALLY need it now, I suggest holding off at least until early February.

i agree with salayrman 100%, but if you have to have one now i would suggest going for one of the older 15 inch unibodies. you get everything the newer ones have minus the sd card, but instead of that you get a pci card slot which you can use for a lot of stuff. prices are much lower than the newer unibodies, but visually identical. stocks are still available at the a shop and from our very own sir tynn.

Either of the 15-inchers would be fine. The processors on all the MBPs (13" included) are more than enough to run the apps for the specific design work you mentioned.

Personally, I'd get the MC118, max out the RAM and get an external 24" non-Apple monitor.

15-inch: 2.53GHz is most likely the best value for money.

I don't think that your work stated here is video graphics intensive. I bought the 15-inch: 2.53GHz unit and it's fast enough, even for my 3D animation work.
