I always manage to have one earbud lose all sound. Is there an easy way to fix this sort of problem, or will it always need a cutter and a soldering iron?

Got this Timbre Gitara Headphone last Christmas. Have to say that I'm surprised at the quality of the sound. Materials used for the headphones are so-so, but overall I'm pleased with it.
