Maschine Mikro just released and iOS Maschine APP !

I had been trying to decide if I could justify getting a Maschine and then discovered they have 2 new models to tempt me!

1. Mikro version ( just under 20k )

2. iOS APP ! for under 250 pesos ! wow ! (avail in iTunes starting 6 October 2011)

I will be setting a reminder to download this one the moment it goes on sale ! WOW!

SO many good features for the price of going out to Mang inasal !

including:

Finished loop can be exported with one touch as an audio file or uploaded to SoundCloud
Project (including samples) can be exported to MASCHINE for finalizing in your studio environment
Import your own 44.1 kHz 16-bit WAV samples
Additional drum kits and instrument sounds can be easily purchased through the in-app store

Its like Christmas in OCTOBER ! wow

Downside - not NATIVE iPad App, but maybe that would hurt their hardware sales?

After spendig the entire nite and morning with that MASCHINE APP I am 100% convinced that the actual Hardware MASCHINE could be the fastest way to make pop-music for radio play.

-it was great on the iPad at 2x - but I see they left out a lot of features that could cause the APP to compete with the actual hardware. (advanced Editing WAV files, slicing loops, etc)

Now to find a way to save up the 20k for the new MIKRO version. WOW

but comparing 200 pesos APP ... to 20k pesos hardware version ... the APP may be the bargain of the century.

Anything NI made is "ok" for live gigs... They are setting the standard worldwide.

Now I see their plan...

They leave just enough out of the $5 APP to convince you to buy the hardware.

Missing
1. Velocity control for LIVE performance (velocity is available for recording 1 pad at a time)
2. loop slicing/chopping
3. advanced wav editing

Etc... so I ordered the Mikro this weekend...

I need to sleep until it arrived

NOTE - online ordering is becoming more strict now - my order was held up until they VERIFIED MY FACEBOOK ACCOUNT ! ... ya - they had to verify facebook to ship my order... wierd...
