I discourage getting Grado.. It lacks bass.. trust me..☺ It's more on Highs and Mids.
I beg to disagree.
Grado attempts, succesfully most of the time, to render the music the way it was recorded. If the bass is in the recording, you will hear it in your grado cans. I have listened to the Beats Solo HD and SR 80i side by side, comparing the same tracks coming from the same source. For instance, in the Eagles' "Hotel California" from their Hell Freezes Over album, the intro is bass heavy. The SR80 rendered a punchier, crispier, stronger bass than the Solo HD.
And the Solo HD is 2x the price of the SR80i.

Oh, what I meant was artificial bass since the TS prefers headphones with lots of bass best for R&B genres.. and you are referring to natural bass dat you hear when a bass guitar is playing ayt?
I had SR80, SR60 and iGrado before but was forced to sell it bcoz I was not satisfied w/ the bass it produces,.![]()
Good news fellow bassheads! Digital walker just dropped the aiaiai tma-1 and i got to audition it.
Nothing is true. Everything is permitted
wow thanks for the feedback, dami bigla ah hehe
umm.... tried grado before, and wasnt really my taste, not saying its not a good once, but its not what im looking for, im a bass head, i love the thumping, but also with clear sounds and no distortion
would love the sony xb700 but problem, its not that comfy on the long run...
so i guess i just have to try shure 750dj before i purchase it, anyone has one that i could at least try it on? hehe
akg ath50 was also one of my choice before, but i think bass was ok, normal for my ear compare to my bose AE1 and beats by dre ive tried... hence back on the hunt again...thanks again!
Although a grado lover, I am fully aware that much of music appreciation is subjective. Whatever cans we put on, we share a common pleasure in listening to good music, which again is, of course, subjective.
