Does this have any difference with home theater audio?
Or is this thread seriously music?

There are a lot of people who have one set-up for listening to music and enjoying movies.
Generally, audio set-ups are two-channel, i.e., you only use two speakers, and HT is multichannel set-up, typically 5 or 7 or even 9 speakers. So, any HT set-up, can also double as an audio set-up, and still be quite good. But the reverse is not quite true, since surround sound is tough to accomplish with only two front speakers. But I'm almost certain somebody out there can do it.

Re: Audio Set-up
generally, music is best listened to in stereo as the audio set up is only meant to simulate listening to a live performance, where a band or artist is on stage (performing in front of you).
it's the same concept for music production. panning & whatnot are made with this idea in mind.
