    Default Video Editing with rMBP

    Hi all,

Anyone with the latest rMBP and tried FCP, AE, or similar apps? How is it? Is there a big difference in terms of workflow, screen real estate, etc?

I am just curious how good is this monster and I have never heard any reviews about it so anyone who has the time to share please enlighten us!

    Cheers!

We have the same maxed out rMBP but Im using only iMovie. Everything is much faster. Loading of thumbnails on external Firewire 800 drives has lags so Im considering upgrading to WD Thunderbolt drives to save time.

Are you using some sort of Firewire adaptor? The rMBP doesn't have Firewire.

From what I read FCPX is optimised for the retina display. Adobe has yet to update their apps.
