    Default spa suggestons

    Hi gals,

I'm curious if there are any spa goers in the forum? After a long day/week/month year of work, this must be a nice way to relax and unwind...

I've been wanting to try out some body scrubs but unsure what is good and which spa would a good place to go for these things...

Would appreciate to know if you guys have any suggestions/recommendations!

For nail spas, the best I've tried is still Tips and Toes, particularly the Tomas Morato branch. Your feet will love you. They also do a mean French manicure that will last you weeks.

Try out the Thai Foot Massage of Footloose (Pasay Road, Wilson St., Katipunan, dela Costa, and soon The Fort)... it's really perfect for de-stressing.

I normally get mine at Regine's (above the smaller North Park at Kalayaan/Makati Avenue). Only very good basic shiatsu/swedish. No frills. No scented candles. No "pre-recorded nature sounds on a loop". No zen garden/small fountain.

I do get to eat dimsum, salted fish fried rice, etc. after.

If you have money to burn, get a Spa and full detoxification treatment at The Farm at ?San Benito?

I've read a very nice review of that place in Mabuhay Magazine.

But for me, Palm Garden is OK na, complete line up naman of services (except for the "extra service" of course  ). They also have body scrubs there, and the price is generally ok, from P600 to P1200. I always visit that place everytime I come home from a month of travelling in Mindanao.

@Supermom: Foot massage? Try the Igorot style of foot massage, masarap yun, but nobody offers that here in Metro Manila. Sayang.

It's the one that uses long sticks to press on your feet. Parang accupuncture without the needles, and reflexology without using the fingers. I tried it at Mt. Data hotel in the mountain province.

if you are in the QC area, i would suggest Urban Escape day spa. its on timog.

if you are in the area of greenhills, try NEO. its right at wilson street, very near ortigas ave. they also have a branch in fort bonifacio. Net-One center.

Happy feet is ok. they open late.

Tips and Toes, try the megamall branch

Has anyone also tried any of the following:

    1. Salon Prive @ Fraser Place - read about it in the papers but not sure how it is...
    2. The Spa (greenbelt, alabang, jupiter), the one with angel aquino as the model?
    3. The Oriental Spa @ Mandarin Oriental Hotel?

As you guys can see, I've been researching but haven't actually tried any out yet...
