    Default LX3 issue

    Hi,

was wondering if any other LX3 users have experienced what I have.

have a year-old unit (bought bnew). was using it yesterday and was working fine as usual but then suddenly my next shots seemed to be too dark when indoors and too bright outdoors. the outdoors shots (taken in daytime) was even purple and with these horizontal lines on the screen.

didn't make any adjustments to cause this. tried changing modes to see if it would solve it. tinkered with it for some time. finally, also with no adjustment on my part, went back to it's normal awesome self.

any explanations you can offer? should I have it looked at? if so, where? is there a service center here?

    thanks.

Could be a glitch. Are you using the latest firmware?

    >>> I believe that the TS is saying that he bought his LX3 brand new ( not second hand) last year. Not need to be sarcastic.

Hmmm I think electronics nowadays aren't as durable as they used to be because of mass production and lower prices, my LX3 also stopped working all of a sudden for no reason at all after 15 months of using , decided not to repair it anymore since it might break down again soon

Thats why its better to go for local authorized units with longer warranty periods like Canon Philippines (3 years) and Nikon Columbia Sales ( 2 years) , and also a good reason why you need apple care for all your apple products
