GGS screen protector removal/replacement
i picked up my nikon D90 this morning to find its GGS screen protector cracked--shoot! thankfully it seems to be just the protector and not the screen itself. so, question:
how do i remove the screen protector (it feels like it's glued tight to the screen) and where do i get a replacement (and for how much)? should i just let the photo shop remove/replace the GGS for me? thanks!

Re: GGS screen protector removal/replacement
Yun GGS screen protector ng GF1 ko nagkaron din ng crack, tinanggal ko lang ng sarili ko. Masyado madikit pero kaya naman.
Madaming sellers ng GGS screen protector. Try to contact Lis of Silienation. http://silienation.com/. I highly recommend getting one from her.

Re: GGS screen protector removal/replacement
Sir butch, It's ok to just take it off by yourself, it's not that hard to pull out. And for your replacement, i recommend getting giottos instead of ggs. it's clearer, thinner, and just looks better.
but you only get the LCD cover, unlike the ggs pack which includes the top lcd-for-settings cover. there's also the ggs "pro" pack, which includes a viewfinder cover as well. oh, and the lcd protector isn't a stick-on. it's thick, and you snap it on, just like the one that comes with the D90 package.

Re: GGS screen protector removal/replacement
Here's a tip to easily remove your ggs LCD screen protector...
use a portable hair dryer blower/dryer... The ones with a hot air.
Set the blower not to close to the GGS protector. The heat from the blower will soften the adhesive on the protector and will make it easier to remove. You can use anything soft to pry and remove the protector carefully away from the LCD of your Dslr..
Hope this helps.

Re: GGS screen protector removal/replacement
the hot blower is scary, the adhesive in the rubbers from the D90 grips might be affected also. dental floss/nylon is the way to go. (FYI for those removing the GGS screen protector in the future.)
