Am planning to download another browser to complement the Safari am normally using... Any recommends out there??? Am looking at Firefox or Opera or do you know of anything better I should use??? Thanks!!!

I had an Opera phase, then I reverted to Safari, and now I've got an Omniweb thing going for a few weeks. They all have their pros and cons, really.

Same here. Although my OmniWeb phase has been going on for a long time now. I love their implementation of tabbed browsing.

I heard that Firefox eats a lot of CPU. Is that true?

Not in my experience. I'd say it's as fast, if not faster, than Safari and seems to handle numerous tabs better.
I also like that Firefox assigns numbers to the tabs so you can jump between them using cmd+tab number. Since safari uses this keystroke combination to access the items in your bookmark bar, you end up having to cycling through the tabs using shift+cmd+left/right.
