Smart Cover Tips and Tricks
Found a few tricks and tips I want to share:
1. To boost the audio of your iPad, take off the Smart Cover and cup it like so:

2. Getting annoyed by those grease stripes that your Smart Cover doesn't clean up? Fold the cover in half with the microfiber facing outward. Then like a squeegee, do a straight pass on the screen of your iPad to remove the streak.
3. Lots of fake Smart Covers are popping up everywhere. While price and who is selling it usually can indicate if it's fake, the cover itself looks uncanningly original. To check, take it out of the box and look at the print that says "Designed by Apple". It should be in very fine print, similar to the one on your charger. Fakes have thicker fonts.
4. Clean your Smart Cover the same way you do your Mac - microfiber cloth and some water with alcohol.
5. Fold it into a triangle to act as a grip when holding it in portrait mode. If you've seen Jessica Soho use her iPad on TV, this is the way she holds it.
6. Detach it and use it as an impromptu fan. Perfect for our crazy weather.
HTH! And if you have some tricks to share, feel free to add them.

Important tip. Cover the metallic portion of the Smart cover with a screen protector. The metallic portion easily corrodes and if this happens you'll find to your iPad with scratches on the side.

I am assuming we cover the metallic portion that is touching the iPad right? Doesn't the magnet loosen its effectivity? I have tons of screen protector that came with my iPhone cases and I might do this later when I get home. Thanks!
Expect for the very best but always plan for the worst and be prepared to get the surprise of your life...

I wonder, how long have you had your cover? Mine hasn't corroded yet and it's often exposed near damp areas. I also like snapping it on and off often and no scratches yet, thankfully.

Re: Smart Cover Tips and Tricks
Hmm. I believe a month before the official launch in the PH. When I noticed the corrosion in the smart cover it was already too late. There were already some minor scratches on the iPad.
