    Question Mini Projector Recommendations

Has anyone tried out those mini LED projectors? I'm currently looking for one for our office use. Any recommendations?

    Thanks in advance!

I have the Samsung SP-H03 LED Pico Projector.

It's really tiny and can run on batteries. As for it's usefulness it depends on what you need it for. If you can always have a darkened room or will only use it for small groups clustered around it then it may work for you. Its only 30 lumens. It can project a decent sized image up to around 70-80" but it will be quite dim, your presentation should have good contrast. Up to a size of about 30-40" it's quite acceptable. To match the relative brightness of a typical 2000 lumens projector you would need to limit the image to around the size of a laptop screen. Here is an image showing the SP-H03 projected over an Eiki 2000 lumens projector. You can see the difference in brightness. The room has no lights except for what filters through the vertical blinds on the right side.

The native resolution of this projector and many others is wide VGA or 854X480 so don't expect a lot of detail, spreadsheets or small text can get fuzzy. It does do well for movies though. It can play a variety of video formats directly from it's built in memory or micro SD so it's nice to be able to get a portable big screen experience provided you can control the light and have a white wall available.

There is no keystone adjustment so placement is a consideration. It's designed to be placed on a table pointed straight at a 90 degree wall.

I have always wanted to get one of these: http://www.microvision.com/showwx/. Better than LED-based units.

Thanks for the nice review! Where did you get the unit and how much? This might just do the job. TIA.
