Help! Mobile Me problems
Hi muggers!
I just bought a Mobile Me single license pack (activation code, not via credit card) since mine is due to expire any moment now. I followed the instructions on the Mobile Me site re: activation, but I'm not sure if it worked since after providing the activation code and re-entering my password I'm directed to a form that pertains to upgrading my account + providing credit card information.
Can any kind hearted soul walk me through this process? How will I know if I did the whole pocesss right? Thanks in advance!

i think the credit card information is only for future renewals (which Apple will automatically do for you as long your credit card remains valid) & under the guise of preventing unwanted termination of the service, in case you forget to renew. Mine is under this set up. the only time that it didnt automatically renew was when my credit card had to be replaced, so I had to give new credit card info. but even w/ the credit card info, I think you still have the option of using other methods of payment, such as your activation pack.
the macworld link seems to indicate that the activation code can also be used for existing accounts & not just new ones. So I guess as long as you remember the expiration date, getting an activation code elsewhere seems like a good way to go around Apple's US$100 pricing.
