Re: HDMI group reportedly putting a stop to Mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapters ^yes and no. the adapter has to support it (most known brands support MDP-HDMI audio), but the source mac's firmware/software must also be updated. older MDP macs didn't support it, initially. but most released from 2010 onwards did.
