I recently deployed 5 linkstation NAS systems 2tb each for my office which primarily uses macs. My pc people have no problems with it, specially the mac ones. It can be used with time machine and as an itunes music server. Just make sure you put these babies on a UPS. NAS's are very sensitive to power fluctuations.

I use a Synology NAS and it works great with my Mac and Lion. I believe the file format for most NAS's will be EXT3 (Linux).

Don't worry about it, It has its own format. That makes it work under windows and mac

I'm looking at getting the Buffalo Linkstation Pro Duo. Anybody using this? How's the bittorrent feature?
