What Do You Recommend for an Alternative to Iphone 4?

I've found a thread for alternative to iphone but since there are 4 Iphones already and the IPhone 4 is the latest phone. I might as well start a thread dedicated only to the great IPhone 4 since it's hard to compare the previous iphones to the current mobile phone models.


Since I wanted to give my wife a gift and I've let go of her 3g already.What do you recommend the best alternative to Iphone 4?


I'm thinking of the Nexus, Wildfire, Desire, Storm2...

Android better than Win 7?

the Nexus S would be a really nice gift for the wifey but if she's a BB fan, i'd go for the Storm 2 for its full touch screen capability.

if you're leaning towards android phones i suggest desire HD or galaxy S if the HD is too big for her taste.

I have a Wildfire and while I think it's a great phone, I don't think it would really be an alternative to the iPhone 4. You're probably looking for something more like the Nexus S or those phones with bigger, higher quality screens

Depends on how big your hands are. The Desire HD is wider by 8mm and fatter by 2mm.

+ 1 on the Desire HD, the only complaint/observation my friend had is the huge screen drains the battery quicker than most touch screen phones.

I'd go for the Nexus S, you won't be left behind with all the Google Android updates. In fact you'll be the first one the get it. It has Super Amoled, which is 2nd to the Retina Display (lol gotta say that because I own one) and built in 16gb. The clean OS interface means you won't be bogged down by proprietary UI like Sense and the likes.

The plastic casing is easily scratched but that can be easily solved by a casing.
