    Default Tethering with Globe

Can anyone share feedback/help on issues with setting up tethering on their iPhones?

Tried to set it up initially via USB, but didn't connect. Then when I went back to the Settings>Network panel, the tethering option had disappeared. Not sure if this is normal, though.

successfully tethered using bluetooth and usb with XP and Vista.

connecting through USB shows that Apple Mobile Device Internet as the network device (automatically installs). the link speed shows 500.0 Kbps (not able to verify hsdpa speeds yet as i am in an area where 3g signal is not really good)

connecting through bluetooth just shows a generic Bluetooth Modem. link speed at 700Kbps.
To tether using Bluetooth I just paired the windows laptop and the iPhone and switched Tethering under Settings>Network to ON.

If bluetooth is on but the iphone is connected to the PC via USB it will default to the USB connection.

I was able to tether via USB cable. I couldn't make the BT tether work yet.

I noticed that 3g signal is stable with tethering. When I browse using the iphone I couldn't get a consistent 3g signal. It always switches to edge.

The exact same thing happened to me, the tethering config went missing. It happened when I tried the Bluetooth tethering, nothing happened then the config disappeared.

USB tethering works flawlessly. I'm able to browse on the iPhone using BT PAN.

@psymd1: I did the ff. steps:

    1. On the iPhone: General>Network>Internet Tethering>On (choose to connect w BT or USB, I picked BT)
    2. On your Mac: Turn BT On Discoverable, then Set up Bluetooth Device>Follow the on-screen instructions
    3. After establishing BT connection between the devices, you should be able to see this option:
