stucked "waiting" app icon on ip4

hi, need help with my iphone 4, was downloading yahoo messenger via wifi on appstore when my connection got cutoff and dling was stopped, now a gray icon with "waiting" under it remains and i seem cant delete it,when holding the icon till it wiggles no x appears, i tried doing both soft and hard reset but its still there, what should i do? i tried re-dling it but appstore sed its already installed and i cant click the option to install, is there a way to fix this without doing a restore? pm me if theres an extraordinary way.. thanx in advance!!

no extraordinary way. when that happens to me i this is what i try:
1) try to pause the download by touching the app downloading.
2) turn wifi off and on in the iphone 4 settings.
3) touch the app again and it should redownload.

experienced this. My fix was to turn my iPhone off and on again. When I turned my iPhone back on, the apps that were stuck on "waiting" were already installed.

yeah this is due to some network issue.
usually it fails to record the password you just entered.

airplane mode can help. off and on. if it's not working, touch to pause and touch to resume. if still not working, restart the phone. don't be too alarmed, it happens to other people too.

reboot your phone bro.. then pagkatapos, itap mo ung icon.. it will start to download again..

FYI, stuck is past tense and past participle of stick. Ne need to add an 'ed' in the end.

yeah almost got a heart attack there...anywayz iv solved my prob, turning the phone on and off didnt work for me,for those who have tried everything else above and failed u can do what i did... i downloaded the app thats in "waiting" in itunes on my pc (i found out that this stucked apps mostly happen when the wifi ur connected to is crappy thus disconnecting ur dl so its better when dling big sized apps to dl it using ur pc) then i synced my iphone, youll notice that the waiting apps is still there....i then opened appstore on my iphone and signed in.. appstore will automatically update the app and your stucked icon will be gone replaced by the installed app!!! it will only take like a second that appstore will update your app doing this than dling it straight from the appstore on your iphone, anywayz thank you guys for the infos and help!!! i can probably say this is SOLVED!
