Was the battery drained by accident? Try just plugging it into a power source and waiting for a while so it can have enough power to boot itself.

Re: Please help
Sometimes this happens, but mostly with ipod touch. Maybe you can just reset the device by pressing the home and power button simultaneously until it restarts while charging it. baka kasi drained din yung battery mo e.

Re: Please help
hope its not one of those cases where jailbreakers would say "turned into a brick" what did you do before that, sir? any third party software enhancements perhaps?? if its just plain battery drain.. yes, its true once its batt is totally drained.. I once drained mine and it took a while to activate it.. =)

Re: Please help
Nangyari na din sa akin ito, but sa 3GS. Tama si ruprup. While charging, sabay mong i-press and hold yung home button and power button until such time na may lumabas na Apple Logo.
Good luck!

Re: Please help
When all else fails, a restoration is needed. If it comes to an iOS restoration, get back to us. The phone can get locked depending on its history.
The phone has two firmware sections. The baseband handles the phone. The iOS takes care of the iPod. Most 3rd party unlock solutions tweak the baseband. An iOS4.2 restoration overwrites the baseband with a new one along with the iOS. If yours was unlocked by a 3rd party (hacked) then doing so will lock your phone. There is no known exploit to unlock the new baseband.
It gets worse if your iPhone is Jailbroken. iOS4.2 cannot be Jailbroken untethered. Only iOS4.1. If you had not saved your shsh blobs through Cydia (if Jailbroken) or through TinyUmbrella and a Mac or PC then you cannot restore to iOS4.1. You can only restore to the current iOS which at the moment is iOS4.2.
