Meguiars carwax = reduced iphone screen smudges
I recently read a post at macrumors.com where one forumer used Meguiars FXT 2.0 car wax on his iPhone 4 screen to reduce smudges. The results were pretty good and were replicated by other forumers. Today, I decided to try it myself after dropping by Walmart here in Honolulu and seeing the abovementioned wax on sale for a rediculously low price.
I applied a pea-sized amount of the wax using the included foam applicator onto my retina display which was protected by a PowerSupport crystal film, then immediately buffed it off. The results were pretty good. The screen seems more resistant to smudges. Oils get easily wiped off with a single wiping pass.
This is a clever idea for those who have access to the Meguiars FXT. According to the macrumors post, carnauba wax and quickdetailers dont work as good as the FXT.
So for those who know someone with this kind of wax, do try it.

This works with any car wax. It's actually an old trick from the Palm Pilot days.
