ipod touch scratches
seems to be a problem with all ipods, is there a sure fire way of removing scratches from the chrome back?

Re: ipod touch scratches
prevention is still the best cure amigo. i'd stick a decal ala Gelaskin, Skin Jam, GMask, etc. on the back right off the bat since the chrome bezel's so easy to scratch.

Re: ipod touch scratches
I saw somewhere some products for removing mild scratching on the iPhone's chrome bezel. I suppose those would work for the iPod's back housing as well.

I saw this link in PhilMUG. You can then perform searches on reviews for the products mentioned.

just one problem, what about the logos and whatever that is laser etched in the back? wouldn't that get rubbed off too?

Re: ipod touch scratches
if the scratches bother you, just stick a Gelaskin or a GMask design nonetheless. sabi nga: out of sight, out of mind.
we can only do so much to prevent these scratches from happening. besides, what matters is it works fine. case in point: madami dyan amigo, wala ngang scratches may alog naman coz of constant bumps and drops. i'd prefer a scratched unit over a dropped one anytime.

It's not a problem limited to ipods. It's been a problem with anything chromed ever since chroming was "invented". The only real way to remove scratches is to have it re-chromed or if the scratches are not to deep, some polish and steel wool would remove a thin layer of the chrome to a smoother finish.
