iPod Touch 4th Gen Use as back up for iPhone 4?

Hi All,

I have so much data for games on my iPod Touch 4th Gen. Just recently we purchased an iPhone 4, and would very much like to carry over all the data I have on my iPod Touch onto the iPhone 4.

Is it possible, when i fire up my iphone on itunes and load the "back up" on my ipod touch and get back all my game data, preferences, et cetera?

I know it works well with various iphone generations, but i haven't tried jumping from iPod Touch and using its back up as data to load onto the iPhone.

Yes, this is possible. I was able to do this just last weekend.

1. create iPod Touch backup
2. set up iPhone as new iPhone
3. sync apps (previously installed in iPod Touch) to iPhone
4. restore backup to iPhone

I have randomly checked some of my apps and luckily, settings/data were restored successfully to my iPhone.
