    Exclamation iphone passcode help

    hello

i know this problem is very common to most. but i would really appreciate the help. anyways, here it goes My brothers 5 year son accidentally set placed passcode in to my his phone and now his son cant remember what code he typed. he remembers a 4 digit number but when we entered the passcode, its still incorrect. now we are desperate to find a solution to this problem.

    iphone 4
    v4.2.1
    globe-locked
    using gevey sim

we tried to restore/update the phone but we get the error 3194
we also placed the phone in DFU mode but we still get the same error.
when we tried to plug it to a different computer, it says it cant because it has a passcode and we need to disable it first to be able to sync it to another computer?
also tried the keychain-2.db deleting. when i reboot the phone the db file comes back. so i dont know if i am doing anything wrong or it just doesnt work

does anyone know how to update/restore the phone without getting the error?

    thanks in advance

difficult to answer your query, as we don't know if the iPhone you mentioned is really your brother's unit or a stolen unit. best answer i think is to bring it to Globe with the proof of purchase or receipt.

I have to agree with pels_17. BTW, if your using a gevey SIM then you're not using globe. If you've also JB'd your phone and given that you can't restore it to it's original state, then I'm not so sure how Globe will handle it.

just search in google to get better answers

try this: HOLD the Power Button and the Home Button until a 'Yellow Hazard Triangle' Appears...(25 SECONDS)

Then connect to iTunes and it will prompt to Restore

You can't set the passcode by accident since you need to enter it twice. Try to bring it to globe with the proof of purchase.

You can only reset the phone's passcode if you sync it with the computer where it was originally activated or last backed up. If not, then no dice. You dont own that phone if that's the case!

    You have two options:

    1. You can restore your iPhone, basically reformatting it as new.
    2. If your iPhone is jailbroken, there is a way to access the plist that has the passcode. Try the sites that discuss jailbreak and ask there, jailbreak discussions are not permitted in this PhilMUG Forum.

There's a way to bypass 3194 error in iTunes by using some app which is forbidden to be discussed here since it's a jailbreak related app.
