iphone 4 bluetooth connection problem

does anyone else have a problem connecting his or her iphone 4 to the mac via BT? no matter what i do (and i know this procedure quite well), i keep getting a "not connected" message on my iphone and a "bluetooth network not available" message on the mac.

i've googled this and apparently it's a major iphone 4/iOS4 issue. have you been able to connect your iphone 4 (the 4, not previous iphones) to your mac via BT, and were you able to tether? thanks!

havent made my bluetooth work also.

tried to send a file from my other phone to the iphone 4.

Apple had been very restrictive with its Bluetooth stacks. I see no reason why they would be liberal with the iPhone 4.

Tried tethering my MBP13 to the iPhone 4 (iOS 4.0.2) via BT and connection was successful.

I did get the "Bluetooth Network not Available" error when I tried to connect with Tethering set to "off" on the iPhone.

Same here. I tried connecting my iPhone 4 yesterday to my iMac/MBA via bluetooth but to no avail.

I am too having this problem, I can't connect my iPhone 4 running iOS 4.1 to my Macbook Pro running 10.6.5.. it's so sad that the Bluetooth issue is still there.. :-(

Is it because of Bluetooth licensing costs that's why Apple is having a hard time implementing this or they're working a better/faster way using WiFi/other means? I also want to transfer files via Bluetooth from my iPhone to my MacBook.
