I can't seem to turn this thing off (EDGE)

help! I've turned off Edge and it's still sitting there.
It's the round thing right beside "Globe". It turns into "E" every now and then.
Is this normal?

It just means there EDGE coverage in your area. No worries.

your 3g doesnt have it coz its on 3g.. but once your 3g signal goes down, probably you'll get E or the "o" or none at all...

3g, Edge, gprs are turned off already actually.

Even if it's turned off, if you're getting EDGE signal it just says so. It doesn't mean you're actually using it. You shouldn't be worried about it.

If you just wanted to have the edge off and not get charge for it, change the APN address and reboot, "E" will still show but it wont be able to connect and saves you a few bucks
