How to sync google contacts with iOS 4.1?

I just got my IP4 and I'm almost done with the setup except for the contacts. Is there a tutorial on how to sync gmail contacts with iOS4.1? Mods, if there is already a thread that answers my inquiry please delete this thread. Thanks!

thanks for the link, but I already tried it before i created this topic - only calendar, mail, and notes show up... I tried to sync anyway - my calendar events were transferred to the phone but not the contacts... i entered my contacts manually instead... i hope someone can post a working procedure so that other new iphone owners will not have to go through the manual creation...

same thing happened to me before with Google Sync but it was Calendars that wouldn't sync. I just turned Calendars off and turned it back on then voila, the calendars had synced! Maybe it just needed some sort of refresh or something. So, you may wannna try that as well! HTH

Try to download the Google app from the AppStore and try it from there.
