I'm thinking of getting myself a pair of headphones. I have narrowed it down to three: the Koss PortaPro, AKG K430, and the Sennheiser PX 200 ii.
I have seen great reviews for the Senn and Portapro, but not much on the AKG. I would like to ask your opinion (especially those who own theses headphones) which one I'll get. Here are some things I would like to know first:
1. Durable: will last at least more than a yeari would like the headphone to have durable wire and jack (unlike the Senn CX380 I have now).
2. Good after sales service/Warranty: as i understand, Koss has a lifetime warranty right? how about the others? are there authorized service centers here for these 3 just in case it needs some repairing?
3. Price: I do't know the cost of these headphones and where to get...
There. I would appreciate it if you guys can also tell me where I can audition these guys (does not have to be all 3 of them in one place). Just for me to know how good the sound is for my ears.

Re: help on purchasing headphones I have actually visited those links >__<" what i gathered from those was that indeed the portapros and px200 -ii's have good sound quality. no mention of akg k430 but i think the dj lines of akg were mentioned... but i think those are too much for me...

I had AKG and Senn,
as far as I know, AKG's warranty is under Audiphile (Official Dist) for 1 year..

Re: help on purchasing headphones Thank you guys for replying. After doing some research, I got the AKG 518LE. The sound for me was superb (I'm no music junkie so I'm easy to please
), especially the bass (that one I really heard). I was able to get one in Automatic Center in Trinoma. There is around 3 more left of this model (1 green, 2 white). I saw in headphiles.org that this headphone was really hard to get so I went ahead with it. The store also had a demo unit, so it made it easier for me to make a decision against the PortaPro.
I'll see if I can post one or two pics in the coming days. For those who are interested, look for Benj in Automatic Center and tell him the unit. They don't have units for display so you need to ask the salesperson.
I got it for P5490 although I don't know if they will be cheaper in Audiophile stores (out of stock in Pioneer)

You might be wondering what's the difference of AKG 518LE and k81dj.. Color.. k81 is only black whilst 518 comes in diff colour..
