Default Best station for FM tuners?

    Hey guys,

Was just wondering what your stations are for your FM Tuners/ iTrips / Belkin Tune Cast units?

I've been using 88.1 and 90.3 for the longest time but lately I've been getting a bit of interference?

    Thanks!

    Ceeks

Use the frequency that's farthest from any existing radio station frequency.

88.1 and 90.3 are close to 88.3 and 90.7 thus the interference you are experiencing. Our local radio stations have at least 0.8 Mhz separation.

Would you know of any? I tried using the ClearScan feature of my Belikin Tune Cast, it goes to 106.5 but it doesn't seem to be all that clear?

Is the audio from them FM tuners really clear? i'm running on a tape deck adapter that runs off the earphone jack at the moment and the audio is clear. Would like to "cut the cord" to be tangle free but before I do, I'd like to know if I'm getting similar or even better audio with FM tuners.

Oh, and yes, try to choose frequencies that are far from existing stations to minimize any possible interference.

One of the reasons why I like my FM Tuner is that it's corded (plugged into the lighter jack) so that my iPhone / iPod doesn't get drained while playing

106.5 would be a bad frequency there being a 106.7 radio station.
However, we can't tell you which frequency would be good for you since we don't know the frequencies your device is capable of using. The best thing you can do is try each frequency in turn.

Interference will also be a function of how close you are physically to the radio transmitter of the station that is closest to what frequency you are using. So in a car, it will always be changing. Nothing beats a direct AUX input connection.

I used to have a Belkin Tune Base FM and no matter what frequency ClearScan chooses, they all have varying degrees of radio interference and/or static.

Trying it with 2-3 cars within Metro Manila yields the same results.

    Solution - AUX IN.
