Was able to visit a Uniqlo store in HK last November, just to check out what they had. They were already stocked with their Winter season line so I didn't have much options.

Was able to snag only one long-sleeved shirt, and it was on sale at HK$99.

Honestly, the items looked more Giordano-ish to me. Will have to wait and see what the actual store will carry when it opens -- that is if get the urge to drive all the way to MoA.

Uniqlo's local partner includes SM Retail...Forever21 also have a partnership with SM Retail...I don't go to Forever21 either here or abroad so i don't know how it compares....if anyone would know, at least we can have an idea how much SM "patong" with these brands.

I'm under the impression that SM marks up a bit less than SSI. Anyway, it'll be easy to compare when Uniqlo finally opens here because their site lists their prices for all regions.

Forever21 prices here are just about the same as Forever21 in the US. If there's a mark-up, it's pretty negligible.

I haven't been to Uniqlo but I am curious about their pricing and what segment of the market they are targeting. Based from someone I know who is in the garment business, their pricing is more expensive than Giordano. Perhaps they are targeting Jag's market.

I think SM was successful in bringing in Forever 21 so they are adding more retail brands. I heard H&M will also be in their portfolio soon.

I saw a sign that Unliqlo MOA opens in June. Hope their pricing is same with SG, im a fan of their pants.

I read somewhere that their shirts would be priced at Php 750.
