    Unhappy MBP problems

Hi. I just bought a new macbook pro unibody and I've been using it for the past couple of days. Recently, my keyboard stopped illuminating and the laptop doesn't seem to recognize my bluetooth. So I googled and found out that I can reset the SMC. So I did that and now the keyboard lights up again and I can use the bluetooth. But the iSight doesn't work now. I already tried everything I can find on the web but the webcam just refuses to work. I even did a fresh install of Leopard and have done a PRAM reset but no luck.

Everything worked perfectly when I first started up my laptop in the shop where I bought it.

I hope you guys can help me with this. Thank you!

Yes, iSight does not work in Photobooth. I checked the system profiler but it's not listed there.
I tried changing my picture in the Accounts pane but it says I don't have a camera. Same with Yahoo Messenger.

Keyboard illumination works now. But sometimes it stops working and whenever I press F5 and F6, it just shows the illumination symbol with a circle and a slash. Like the 'no smoking' sign.

    Thanks.

this means you've set it so low, it's turned off. make sure you adjust it correctly with your F5 and F6 par mei ilaw

regarding your isight, if it's really conking, have a service center look into it. you have one year warranty.

Hey guys, I have the latest entry level MBP 13".

It froze on me twice before (blue screen) but tonight was a different story. I was just browsing the web (Facebook) & viewing documents when the screen suddenly turned black and my MBP went off. What could have caused this and what should I do?

    @iDave
I would really want to know the answer to your question as well. That's pretty scary.

I have the same problem. I searched the web, reset the PRAM and SMC but still iSight is not working. These are the troubleshooting I did but still in vain:

    1. Reset the PRAM
    2. Reset the SMC
    3. Login to another account to check it's not user-specific
    4. Checked other apps that use iSight (i.e. YM, iChat) for consistency
    5. Restarted, shut down the computer
    6. Checked the System Profiler

Do you have the same experience? I don't want to go to the Service Center yet until I've exhausted other options.
