    Smile The 2010 Macbook Pro 13" 2.4ghz

    Hello fellow Apple fans,

I've been lurking this site for quite some time now, because i'm a big fan of the iPod and iPhone....and now just recently, i finally took the plunge and got my first Mac: The new 2010 Macbook Pro 13" (2.4ghz). I was on the market for a new netbook, because my 18" Vaio laptop was too heavy to move around, but then decided instead of another windows box, why not finally get a Mac.

Coming from a full Windows PC background, i'm still doing a lot of learning, but so far i'm very impressed. I don't know how to post images posting here (anyone?), so here is a link for pics of my new joy: http://www.theborgcollectives.com/20...o-cult-of.html

I'll most likely be putting up some initial reactions and videos of the MBP soon.
In the meantime, any tips from power users will be appreciated to help me on the transition from windows to mac.

Congrats theoneborg. I also got one for my uncle and I tell you it is probably one of the most reliable Macs right now. The C2D 13 inch portable line is already quite a mature product which means all the bugs have been ironed out.

Hey there, coming from a fellow Android user, welcome to PhilMUG and congrats on the purchase!
Like Ryan's pointed out, the 13" MBP is one of the best in its size and class, hope you enjoy your stay here and don't hesitate to ask for advice from time to time. Oh and make sure you have a good cup of coffee on hand for your first week with your mac, because you're definitely gonna have sleepless nights.

Just posted part 1 of my first impressions using the new 2010 MBP, with video:
    http://www.theborgcollectives.com/20...ok-pro-13.html

On the OS X side, so far i'm getting the hang of it, at first, i was shocked that there's no alt+tab....but once i got used to expose...well, who needs alt+tab, hehe

Still missing the home and end keys though, i know i can use cmd+direction key to replace them, but a dedicated key would be preferable, or am i missing something?
