looks like they're finally out!

a bit pricey at the moment but surely a good upgrade 6 months or so down the line when they get cheaper? i wonder when they'll be available here...

Oh 7200rpm. not sure if these are 7200. But 500gb 2.5" drives have been surfacing all over the metro recently.

nope. haha! if you wanna go up to 500gb, you'll have to do it yourself.

320gb 5400rpm is pretty common nowadays. check your nearest computer stores and they're bound to have it. you might have to dig around if you want 7200rpm drives though. try tipidpc for them. 
you shouldn't have any issues on a first gen. a hard drive is a hard drive and your macbook will read it no matter how big it is.

72K rpm drive are hard to find and i really wonder why, up until now i havent got one 
for 54K rpm naman they are scattered everywhere from tpc ebay and your local computer shops..

Just a slight correction, the speeds are 7200 and 5400, not 72K (72000) or 54K (54000)
