New Mac Mini...DEAD!
Guys, need your help!
I have the new Mac Mini with Lion OS. Less than a month with me today. I usually just put it to sleep whenever I go out or sleep. This is my home PC attached to my TV.
Last weekend (Fri) I went out of town and got back this Monday morning. To my surprise there were no blinking light on my Mini. Tried pressing some buttons to wake it up but still no use. Tried holding the power button to reset it and still no use. Tried unplugging it and still no power!
I will bring it to an Apple store tom at the Fort. This was bought on line through Apple store.ph
Anyone had the same problem? Is this normal? or I might have done something wrong? Need advice.
TY!

The greatest harm can come from the best intentions.

Your location says Alabang. Why don't you just bring to Switch at ATC?

Re: New Mac Mini...DEAD!
If you already tried a working outlet the power supply might have fried, have you tried smelling if it smells like something burned out inside?
If you left it plugged in your area might have experienced power flactuations...you might want to check with neighbors or building security.
It is still best to bring it in as everyone can just speculate since nobody was with the unit while it happened.

Yup, could be power spikes. My Linksys adsl modem wifi router died during the typhoon last week.

Sorry to hear about that bro..
Anyway, was your Mini plugged directly into a wall outlet? no UPS? or surge protectors?

Re: New Mac Mini...DEAD!
Mini was plugged directly to wall outlet.
Thanks for all your advice!
Will do Fort since I have better experiences there. Swith Alabang seems not to know what they're doing! hehe
I'll give updates later on Mini condition

Re: New Mac Mini...DEAD!
Nothing to worry since the unit is still under warranty. It may take a while though before they diagnose it and gives feedback.

Re: New Mac Mini...DEAD!
Most likely a fried power supply. Moving forward, invest on an AVR at the minimum to protect your Mac.
