Default New iMac (early 2011 with sandy bridge processors)

It's a so-so upgrade. The more powerful GPUs, i5 Sandy Bridge Processors, and Thunderbolt are welcome additions.. Check out the specs here: http://www.apple.com/imac/specs.html

It's a bit sad though that they're still pushing i7 as a BTO option.

Hmmm... I just noticed that there's a 2gb option on it's AMD 6970 graphics card.. Lakas!

EDIT: "You can daisy-chain as many as six devices plus a display. The 27-inch iMac includes a second Thunderbolt port for even more expansion possibilities. Connect up to six more devices or a display or two." - You can now connect two external monitors via 2x thunderbolt ports.. This got me thinking.. badly.

The Thunderbolt must be a new interesting feature. Hope to have this too.

nice! even the "entry level" iMac's specs is very decent.

I just cant help but wish that the drive bay can easily be accessed without tearing everything apart :|

btw, why was the 24-inch line discontinued?

Apparently it's now available at our online apple store. I noticed that the top model is around 5k cheaper than the previous models.
