I'm planning to buy an iMac... I saw a dealer having a sale for this model (brandnew)
MB952ZP/A - iMac 27" / 3.0 GHZ/ 4GB/1TB HD/ ATI Radeon MD4670 w/ 256MB
PHP59k
OR should just get an entry level iMac
NEW iMac 21"
i3 3.0GHZ, 4GB, 500MB/ ATI RADEON MD4670 with 256MB
PHP 58k
What would be the main advantage if I buy the current Mac... My budget is only 60T and I'm just a casual user... Internet, Office and a bit of photo layout.

Re: iMac 27" (previous gen) or iMac 21" Since you mentioned that you're a casual user, I think the 27" is a better buy based on specs alone. I bet you won't feel the Core i3 difference of the latest model BUT you will definitely feel the bigger screen real estate and larger disk capacity advantage of the 27" model.

Re: iMac 27" (previous gen) or iMac 21" I agree, the 27 inch screen is a huge huge difference! Also 1Tb of Hard disk will help a lot in storing lots of music video and games! The i3 will only count if you do lots of heavy video or photoshop.

iMac 27" (previous gen) or iMac 21" I read in macrumors that Apple will update the mac line as early as 1st half of the 2011. Would you think its advisable to go with the purchase?

Re: iMac 27" (previous gen) or iMac 21" if you need it already, buy it. Also, choose the 27inch, screen size is a big factor. Since you'll use it just for photo, or even slight video edit, the core2duo and Mac OS will surely help you and make it easy for you. Core2Duo is fast already and since you'll use a 3.06ghz processor it will serve you well.

iMac 27" (previous gen) or iMac 21" Ahhh. Lalo ata gumulo. Anyway im no rush to buy one since i still have a macbook. I just want to replace my laptop pc and give it to my daughter.
