Guys is there a posibility that i might get a lemon unit? I mean merong cosmetic problem witha refurb unit?

If it is a cosmetic problem Apple doesn't define it as a lemon unit. Its only lemon if it doesn't work. But to answer your original questions, yes, there is a chance you can get a unit with a minor scuff with a refurb. Bought about 6 referb units before, Mac Minis and iMacs. 1 iMac and 2 Minis had some small imperfections on the edges, but barely visible. Only OC folks like me will notice.

yes. i can confirm for both.
also for hk, before i get to the hotel, i ordered online a week before my arrival date.. then informed Apple HK store not to deliver until my arrival date.

You can also contact apple and arrange that you will pick up package at courier's warehouse.

Apple is unable to accept credit, debit, or check associated with a billing address outside of Hong Kong.

Are what people doing entering in a HK address as the billing address even if it is really a Philippine-issued credit card?

i got my MBP last 2008 pa.. there could be new rules now as we have the PH online store.
i suggest calling their toll free num.

Yes. Just enter same address in billing as delivery address, no questions asked. The did email me to reply with a scanned copy of my latest cc statement though both instance on my sg and hk online purchase.

I'm a bit disappointed that the local online Apple store doesn't seem to sell any refurbished units. Or am I just not looking hard enough?
