Most Customizable PC Laptop?

As far as i know ,you can only upgrade the ram and hard drive space of a laptop but the other specs such as processor and battery etc. are as is.

Alienware? IIRC, Dell before offered customized laptops according to specs preferred by the buyer.

Checked Dell and they have a laptop that i fancy. XPS 15! customized mine to an i7, 8gb 750gb SATA drive and the basic stuff and it cost me around 69k. that's what the u.s price says, but does the price stay the same even if you buy it here? say, dell moa branch? :P

Intel processors are upgradeable
RAM and HDDs / SSDs of course are easily upgradeable
WiFi cards...
bluetooth cards...
battery...

^i've done all those... (source of replacement parts: e-Bay)

also, there are notebooks which have upgradeable GPUs (video cards) - ones that have MXM technology...


in most notebooks, GPUs are soldered to the board, MXMs are not. - this I have not done yet.

some notebooks that have this technology - Sager, Clevo, Falcon Northwest, and believe it or not - ACER.

NOTE: the above info is for DIY upgrades..

However, if you mean "factory customizable" of CTO (Customize to order) - then almost all new models are customizable from factory.

how do you DIY upgrade a laptop? :P I've read something about the XPS 15 being so hot they've done a cooling solution (idk what) and it involves pasting something. :P

Sager and Falcon Northwest are two of the best brands...

let's say, if you own an Alienware, and you see someone using one of these brands, you better keep your keep your Alienware in the bag or use it somewhere else. lolz

Clevo is an OEM (believe it or not, NEO is Clevo) - they make Sager notebooks.

Alienware has been acquired by Dell.

Acer of course is known locally.

Just Checked HP, Acer, Asus, and Dell. :P they have i7's, but i can't customize it. :P sa US lang daw yun pwede.
