Internet Explorer on the Mac?
Hi, all!
I'm a happy Safari/Firefox user but our PC went kaput and I need to use IE for business-related stuff.
I understand that Microsoft pulled out it's Mac support for IE in 2006 but it is still available for download --
Considering the news about the bugs/problems of IE, would it still be safe to download the 2006 version on our Macbook?
Or would it be better if we got Windows XP and installed that through Bootcamp?

Hi kite106, you can use bootcamp or if you hate restarting your Mac just to use an IE browser, you can use Parallels.

Re: Internet Explorer on the Mac?
i agree with decyph3r.. you can use bootcamp for installing xp in your computer to be able to access IE because if you forced to install the old IE on your mac, it can probably messed up your leopard OS if it asked to be updated or something.. not too advisable for now sad to say that..

Re: Internet Explorer on the Mac?
I am currently using CrossOver app. I tried using Parallels and Ie4OSX, and this one is a winner. It's fast, and haven;t experienced any problem yet. (tho it can only run IE6).
Just a small problem, because our Outlook Web Server is in Austria, the language settings on my Outlook Web Access is in German. Can't find a way to change it to English.
EDIT: Already fixed the language problem.

If you have Firefox installed, just download useragent https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59
I use this for sites that needs IE.

How come fonts in my IE are rough looking? They don't look like Safari webpages.
