    Default Bootcamp 4.0 now available

Lost in the hoopla of OSX Lion is the fact that Bootcamp has silently been updated.

So for those of you who use Bootcamp (like me), it is now available for download. Go to Applications/Utilities/Bootcamp Assistant

It will prompt you to download the Bootcamp 4.0 installer and burn it to a disk or USB.

    Happy downloading guys.

Well its actually not on OSX Lion. When you go to Bootcamp assistant, it will prompt you to download the updated Bootcamp software.

For those who game on Windows thru Bootcamp, the graphics drivers may be updated so you can probably squeeze several framerates more simply by updating.

I don't get this. What do you mean by "it's actually not on OS X Lion?" My Bootcamp version is already 4.0 after upgrading to Lion. Did you mean that the Bootcamp update is for Snow Leopard?

Bootcamp Assistant on OSX Lion is 4.0. But the Bootcamp for Windows will remain the same unless you download and install the Bootcamp drivers for Windows.

Oh, you mean the updated windows drivers! I'll download it right away. Does it really need to be burned to a cd or usb? Can't we just access the downloaded files from the mac hard drive inside windows? This would be the first time that I will be doing this update download. TIA!

Does anyone know a direct download link for the BC 4.0 drivers? Thanks.

I'm done with downloading Boot Camp 4.0 Windows drivers and it prompted me with only two options: burn it on a cd/dvd or on an external hard drive. Luckily, I still have a spare cd! Now I'm also done with installing Windows 7 in my MacBook AGAIN. (I removed my windows partition before upgrading to Lion. I only use windows to play online games.)

Bootcamp Windows driver download hangs on my MacBook Air!

Does anybody have it already? Can I just copy your Flash drive?
    Think before you print!

Please help. I'm stuck on the Downloading Windows Support Software part of the Bootcamp process. It stops after a short while and doesn't progress. What to do? Is it possible to do the Bootcamp steps in installment, download the support software today then continue tomorrow? Will it be able to detect that I have already downloaded the software once I start the Bootcamp process again? I'm planning to just leave it overnight so it can finish the download.
