    Default Bing vs. Google

Can't choose default search engine? Want to compare Bing & Google results?
    http://bing-vs-google.com/

Ironically, on my first few comparisons, I liked Bing more, because it usually shows first the home page of my searched topic, and it shows the Wikipedia article on the second, which I really prefer in a search engine. While Google, shows some images and videos on top of the list, which I don't really care much.

But then again, my heart still belongs to Google. Bottom line, I'm still sticking with Google, which I'm really used to. Microsoft is a lot late to the search engine party.

BING is short for Bing Is Not Google.

I like Bing's image search engine. Other than that, I'll stick with Google.

@RB.....HE HE HE he he......on target as usual

I've tried Bing, as Internet Explorer 8.0 default search engine on my gaming rig's vista 64. It is quite good but not as accurate as google. One stand-out feature that I love is the autohide placeholder on the right side, whiich automatically shows you the first paragraph of the webpage. It saves you two clicks.

I also like the fresh and clean look of Bing and, let's face it, google's "face" has been around for years and it is outdated. Google is still a 10, but I'll give Bing an 9.

How does one set Bing to become the search engine of Safari search bar?

I'm not with my Mac right now, but I think only Yahoo! and Google are the default search engines in Safari..

Go to Preference>General>Default Search Engine, you would see the available search engine there.

I'm beginning to like Bing, it generates fewer but more relevant results, IMO. I think I'll use it for a while and compare it with Google.

My work by the way needs liberal use of search engine, to have backgrounds of different kinds of operating systems and databases every start of audit engagement. Let's see if Bing will produce good results on my next audit.

Check out David Pogue's review of Bing HERE.

It still has some inconsistencies, according to him. However, this should be understandable as it's still relatively young.

According to David Pogue's article (and some geeks I know), Bing stands for But-It's-Not-Google.

I like some aspects of Bing but having been used to Google, it might take a long time for me to switch to it... not just yet...
