to mpegs or vcd\'s
Hiya,
Is there any way I could convert my .mov files to .mpeg? Unfortunately iMovie only exports to Quicktime, and I really really need them to play in Windows Media Player :wound:
Alternatively, is there any way that you could burn your iMovie file into a VCD format instead of DVD?
Thanks a bunch!

Get ffmpegX [click here]
It allows you to convert your MOV files into a variety of formats. And its donationware too!
Re:VCD - the only app that i know that will let you burn VCD's is Roxio's Toast Titanium. On installation, it will also install an iMovie plugin which would allow you to Share/Export in VCD format.
What i use however, is a combination of both these app. I would usually export my finished iMovie project as a Full Quality DV. I would then use ffmpegX to convert that DV file to a VCD (mpeg1) file. Toast's VCD encoder is not very good you see. I would then drag that mpeg file to Toast to burn the actual disc. If you can get Toast 6, it even allows you to make simple vcd menu's with pictures.
