Default Minimum \'ideal\' memory for Adobe CS

to pro photoeditors and graphic artists out there:

if i use adobe photoshop CS and imageready simultaneously, how much minimum RAM should i have to avoid longer-than-average lag time? will the built-in 256 of the new souped-up ibooks be enough? TIA

For the barest minimum I'd say 512MB.

Depends on how big the files you work with. If for web then I concur, 512 is about right. But if high-res stuff, then the more the merrier.
