Call me huli sa balita, but I'm only finding out now about some of the built-in (and useful) features in the Apple Mail application.

take for example Threading. I thought only Gmail had that feature, turns out you can easily set Mail to do the same via View & Organize by Thread. Mail's is not as accurate though, since it uses only the Subject header as reference.

The feature I accidentally discovered today, and like a lot, is the jump-to-reply (I made up this name). In the left most column of the list view, there are little icons to indicate if a message has been replied to or forwarded. Clicking on a 'replied' icon will bring up the actual reply message. How convenient.

Although I created this thread pre-Tiger days, the features I listed above are still around.

Just to update this thread:

With, Mac OS X Tiger Mail 2 comes so many useful features:

One is this really useful tip that a lot of people are unaware of: resizing image attachments on the fly

Of course, there's the bevy of Tiger features built into Mail, like Spotlight, Smart Mailboxes and Slideshow too.

I also like the Get Info feature, where a right click of any inbox will give you mail account info, so you can instantly find out how much of your server space is occupied.

I can't wait for Leopard's version of Mail (presumably Mail 3).
